Jacobs is a company focused on solving critical problems for cities and environments. They are seeking an Entry-Level Civil/Rail Engineer to join their Transportation team in Morristown, NJ, where the role involves planning, design, and execution of rail infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work on Rail Stations and transportation structure construction projects
  • Engage in planning, design, and execution of rail infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to blend theoretical knowledge with practical application
  • Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned
  • Progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated projects with a technical team

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Course work related to transportation
  • Previous design intern experience
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software (Microstation/Inroads or AutoCAD/Civil 3D)
  • Ability to utilize design manuals, as needed
  • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
