Software Engineer Intern
Schneider Electric is a company dedicated to providing energy and digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability. They are seeking a Software Engineer Intern to participate in an Agile team, developing software and collaborating with engineers to enhance user experience for utility industry customers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cloud engineers to estimate the size and effort of small automation or infrastructure-related tasks
- Develop scripts, utilities, or small tooling enhancements based on internal team needs and specifications
- Participate in planning meetings, technical discussions, documentation updates, and other aspects of the infrastructure workflow
- Fix low-complexity defects in internal tools, scripts, or configurations
- Assist with getting started on automated tests for our security regression bucket by contributing simple test cases, validation checks, or framework setup
- Support research spikes on cloud services, automation opportunities, or operational improvements
Skills
- Current student working toward a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field with a computing or cloud emphasis
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Excited to be part of a dynamic engineering team improving infrastructure, automation, and internal tooling
- Experience with scripting or C#/.NET development
- Basic understanding of Azure and cloud/infrastructure concepts
- Familiarity with Git and general software engineering basics (logs, debugging, working in a repo)
