Personal Lines Account Manager

Alera Group is one of the largest insurance brokers in the U.S., and they are seeking a Personal Lines Account Manager to join their growing team. This role involves managing a commercial lines book of business, serving as a primary contact for clients, and collaborating with internal teams to support client needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service a commercial lines book of business (small-to-mid market accounts)
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing coverage questions and resolving issues
• Support renewals, policy changes, and ongoing account needs
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Review contracts and coverage details to identify potential risks and recommend solutions
• Manage multiple priorities while meeting service timelines and expectations
• Partner with producers and internal teams to support client needs
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and additional lines of business
• Participate in training and ongoing professional development

Skills

• Strong customer service and relationship management skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
• Sense of urgency and accountability
• Insurance experience or exposure to commercial lines
• Active Property & Casualty license (or willingness to obtain)
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
