[Remote] Training Specialist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. TOMIA is a global leader creating software for broadband service providers, and they are seeking a Training Specialist to drive technical proficiency and excellence across internal teams. This role involves designing, organizing, and managing comprehensive training programs to enhance the technical competence of teams and ensure effective adoption of best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product owners, managers from early-stage release kick-off discussions and stay ahead of feature evolution
  • Identify skill and capability gaps and build a proactive technology learning roadmap for customer-facing teams (Professional Services, Support, Technical Sales)
  • Translate complex technical product features into engaging, easy-to-understand educational content, including product demos, FAQs
  • Develop technical training materials, including e-learning modules, manuals, slide decks, and virtual training sessions
  • Plan and execute timely internal technology training to ensure readiness of customer facing teams before every product version launch
  • Organize "train-the-trainer" sessions with subject matter experts to scale technical knowledge
  • Facilitate regular internal training workshops (remote) to maintain high technical proficiency
  • Update customer facing training documents with new product features and functionality
  • Monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness, utilizing metrics and employee feedback to make continuous improvements
  • Maintain accurate records of training participation and completion rates
  • Produce video training modules for Incognito products using historical training deliveries

Skills

  • Post-Secondary Education in education, Instructional Design, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1-2 years in technical training, product education, or instructional design, preferably within technical environment
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organization skills
  • Proven ability to learn and demonstrate complex technical products, platforms, or systems
  • Experience with Linux command line
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in creating interactive eLearning content and managing Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Experience with screen capture/video editing software, AI-enabled training video creation software such as Arcade or Camtasia or Articulate Storyline
  • Self-starter with a strong ability to work independently within virtual teams, across multiple time zones
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Excellent command, highly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Desire to complete the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD®) certification
  • Past experience in Udemy or other learning management platforms
  • Prior experience working with product, professional services, support, marketing, sales and documentation teams
  • Professional working proficiency in spoken and written Spanish
