The Opportunity

As a Automation Engineer, You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts to ensure the highest level of software quality. Your goal is to minimize manual testing efforts and integrate reliable automated checks into our continuous delivery pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Framework Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for web and mobile applications using tools like [Selenium/Playwright/Cypress].

  • Script Creation: Develop and execute automated UI, API, and functional test scripts to identify defects early in the development lifecycle.

  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD pipelines to provide rapid feedback to developers.

  • Collaboration: Partner with developers and product managers in an Agile/Scrum environment to understand requirements and define test coverage.

  • Troubleshooting: Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and document bugs using tracking tools like JIRA.

  • Maintenance: Regularly update and optimize existing test suites to keep pace with new feature development.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on experience in software automation testing.

  • Programming: Proficiency in at least one language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.

  • Testing Tools: Extensive experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Rest-Assured) and version control (e.g., Git).

  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and modern QA methodologies.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or K6.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
