Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of book covers, including front covers, full wraps, and eBook formats.

• Collaborate with editors, authors, and marketing teams to translate manuscript themes into engaging visual concepts.
• Support the preparation of print-ready and digital files, ensuring designs meet publishing specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct research on current design trends in publishing, including typography, layout, and genre-specific aesthetics.
• Organize and maintain design files, templates, and project assets.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative concepts for upcoming titles and campaigns.

Experience

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program related to Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Publishing, Communications, or a similar field. Experience may substitute this requirement.
• Previous graphic design experience is required.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) or equivalent software.
• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design principles.
• Ability to take creative direction and incorporate feedback effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
• Passion for books and interest in the publishing industry.
• A portfolio of previous design work may be requested by the hiring manager.

Compensation
