Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join our team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our SAP systems, ensuring seamless business operations and exceptional customer experiences. As a key member of our IT department, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues, implement process improvements, and develop innovative solutions to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain SAP systems, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/BI, SAP GRC, and other related systems
- Perform routine system maintenance tasks, such as client duplication, system duplication, client export/import, and system refresh
- Monitor system performance, investigate issues, and optimize system resources to ensure high availability and performance
- Manage the SAP Transport Management System (TMS) for shipping changes between SAP systems
- Plan and execute backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems
- Design and manage interfaces and integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems
- Analyze system performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning measures to improve system performance
- Maintain accurate documentation of SAP system designs, methodologies, and standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies (SOX, PCI, Corporate, etc.)
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- 7+ years of experience as a SAP Basis Administrator or in a similar role with a medium to large-sized organization
- Proven expertise in SAP installation, setup, and configuration
- SAP certifications are a plus
- Excellent DB2 and AIX skills and experience
- In-depth knowledge of SAP technologies, architecture, and components
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies and trends
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours for system maintenance and support activities
- Strong commitment to maintaining system security and data integrity
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/BI, and SAP GRC
- Knowledge of SAP Transport Management System (TMS)
- Experience with system integration and interface management
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with DevOps and automation tools
- Strong understanding of cloud computing and virtualization technologies
