Java Developer Intern
Are you an ambitious and creative Java Developer who is passionate about developing innovative solutions? TimeForge is a SaaS company specializing in labor management in the retail space, and we are seeking a talented Master's student with a background in Java development to join our team for a full-time summer internship. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Spring framework. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new functionality to help us expand our products. Remote work from Lubbock is acceptable. Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Java-based web applications using the Spring framework
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that code meets established standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise
- Work on high-impact projects that contribute to the development of new products
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with the Spring framework and Java development
- Strong understanding of SQL
- Knowledge of web technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience with developing and deploying outside an IDE is a big advantage
- Exposure to mobile development with Kotlin and Android is not a requirement, but may present some possibilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
