Job Title: QA Engineer Location - Charlotte, NC (Hybrid 3 days) Job Type: Long Term Contract Job Summary We are seeking a hands-on QA Engineer with experience in Tosca automation and manual testing. This role focuses on validating application quality across UI, APIs, and data by executing well-defined test cases and collaborating closely with Product Owners, developers, and other QA team members. This is an execution-focused QA role. You will work within established testing frameworks, tools, and processes to ensure software meets functional, data, and performance expectations before release.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases aligned to user story acceptance criteria.
  • Develop and maintain Tosca automated tests using existing modules and frameworks.
  • Execute functional, regression, API, database, and basic performance tests.
  • Build and maintain regression test coverage across applications.
  • Validate backend services and data consistency across systems.
  • Manage test cases, test cycles, and execution results using qTest.
  • Log, track, and validate defects using Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, and QA peers to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Provide clear and concise test status, results, and defect documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • 8 years' experience in software quality assurance with both manual and automation testing.
  • >2-year Hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for defect tracking.
  • Experience using qTest/Testrail or a similar test management tool.
  • Working knowledge of Agile and SDLC practices.
  • Intermediate SQL skills including joins, updates, and data validation.
  • Basic understanding of performance testing concepts and execution.
  • Strong attention to detail with clear written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tosca certifications.
  • ISTQB certification.
