Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead a team of hourly workforce and drive business success in our Operations network. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for engaging your team during their shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will also play a key role in maintaining our customer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.

Key Responsibilities and Job Elements

As an Area Manager at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting, mentoring, and motivating your hourly workforce to achieve business objectives and deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Managing safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises to ensure the highest levels of performance and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborating with all support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to develop plans to meet business objectives
  • Lifting up to 49 pounds and frequently pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching to perform tasks and duties
  • Standing/walking for up to 12 hours during shifts in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Working in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud
  • Working in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments)
  • Continuously climbing and descending stairs (applies to sites with stairs)

Essential Qualifications

To be successful as an Area Manager at arenaflex, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a customer-facing or Operations environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with varying noise levels and temperatures
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks and duties, including lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to work in an environment with variable weather conditions (delivery stations include outside loading departments)

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a customer-facing or Operations environment
  • Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
  • Experience with quality control and assurance processes
  • Familiarity with arenaflex's Operations network and business processes
