Job Title: Python Data Engineer Location: Hybrid - Westlake, TX or Ashburn, VA Employment Type: Full-Time Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Python Data Engineer with a strong background in Python development and data engineering. The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of Python development experience and expertise in data processing, transformation, and optimization. This role requires working in a hybrid model at our Westlake, TX or Ashburn, VA locations. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using Python.
- Design and implement scalable data architectures to support business needs.
- Work with large datasets and ensure efficient data processing.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to enhance data workflows.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and security best practices are followed.
- Optimize SQL and NoSQL database queries for performance improvements.
- Automate data ingestion and transformation processes.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on Python development experience in a data engineering environment.
- Strong experience with ETL pipelines, data integration, and transformation.
- Proficiency in working with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server).
- Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a hybrid setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data applications.
