Company : Allegheny Health Network Job Description : GENERAL OVERVIEW: Provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies. (55%) Completes documentation that is required to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness e.g., charting, billing, IPOC, patient/family education. (20%) Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies. (20%) Provides instruction to patients and other members of the healthcare team as needed. (5%) Performs other duties as assigned or required. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program. Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist, or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP). Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) National Board of Respiratory Care required prior to the expiration of the Temporary Practice Permit (TPP). CPR – American Heart Association. Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate. Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate. Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate. Preferred Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care RRT Two years' experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine in a hospital setting.
