Bilingual Executive Functioning Coach / Social Worker – Part-Time, Remote

Up to 10 hours/week | Zoom-based The Illinois Spina Bifida Association (ISBA) is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) social worker to provide executive functioning coaching to children, teens, and adults with spina bifida. This part-time, remote role will deliver individualized coaching via Zoom and support an IRB-approved research initiative. Additionally, from mid-July 2026 to mid-January 2027, the social worker will provide care coordination services to Chicagoland adults with spina bifida. Compensation:

  • $32 / hour
  • Paid time off
  • ISBA will pay for the employee to participate in an executive functioning coaching certification program valued at $1,000.
  • ISBA provides professional liability insurance

Executive Functioning Coaching Responsibilities:

  • From July 2026 to January 2027, the employee would participate in an executive functioning coaching certification program for approximately two hours / week.
  • Starting at the end of January 2027, the employee would shift to providing 8-10 hours a week of executive functioning coaching while completing the certification program.
  • Provide executive functioning coaching via Zoom
  • Support clients across the lifespan with spina bifida
  • Administer and track pre- and post-assessments to evaluate functional executive function as well as other assessment tools.
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative data in accordance with IRB protocols
  • Consistently remind clients of appointments and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with and report to the IRB Lead Researcher, Lead Executive Functioning Coach, and Executive Director

Adult Care Coordination Responsibilities:

  • ISBA seeks an employee to provide adult care coordination services to Chicagoland adults living with spina bifida for eight hours per week from mid-July 2026 to mid-January 2027.
  • ISBA would train the employee on the existing adult care coordination program model prior to the mid-July program start.
  • Adult care coordination would be conducted by phone, email, text, and Zoom. The work can be done on a flexible basis, including day, evening, and weekend hours.
  • Collaborate with and report to the Medical Social Worker, Clinical Supervisor, and Executive Director

Qualifications:

  • Illinois social work license in good standing
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Knowledge of executive functioning and neurological conditions
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and communication skills
  • Comfortable with virtual service delivery and data tracking

Preferred:

  • Experience with spina bifida or similar neurological conditions
  • Familiarity with standardized assessments and research protocols
