Airosmith Engineering is seeking a full-time Project Manager, Civil Engineering to join its Engineering team. This role manages client relationships, leads civil design, and directs project delivery from concept through permitting and construction support. The position requires a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with substantial hands-on design experience, strong technical expertise, proven project management skills, and a client-facing approach, with a focus on public- and private-sector infrastructure and site development projects. Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as Technical Lead for the Civil Engineering group.
  • Provide hands-on engineering design and oversight, including:
  • Stormwater management and hydrology/hydraulic (H&H) analysis;
  • Drainage design and grading plans;
  • Erosion and sediment control systems;
  • Water distribution and wastewater collection systems; and
  • Roadway and access design.
  • Perform and/or oversee technical reviews to ensure compliance with State DOT standards, County and municipal regulations.
  • Seal engineering documents as required and maintain responsible charge.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and staffing resources, and oversee all clients. communications, ensuring expectations, deliverables, and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate project activities among internal teams, subconsultants, vendors, agencies, and provide financial oversight including budgets, scope changes, invoices, revenue, and accruals.

Requirements:

  • Min. of 5 yrs. of progressive site design experience required.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office required.
  • Experience working with state DOT or transportation agencies preferred.
  • Multi-jurisdictional project experience (municipal, county, state).
  • Prior experience serving as Engineer of Record.

Education:

  • BS in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or Environmental Engineering from ABET-accredited four-year college.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
  • New York State Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
