About the Role
As a Seasonal Customer Support Tax Expert at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer support and tax expertise to clients across the country. This is a seasonal position, commencing in January 2024 and ending in April 2024, offering the perfect opportunity to gain valuable experience and build your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
As a Seasonal Customer Support Tax Expert, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing tax support and advice to clients over video, phone, and chat, helping them navigate tax returns through designated software
- Leveraging your knowledge and skills to ensure an excellent customer experience, using your expertise in tax preparation, technology troubleshooting, and resolving tax issues
- Delivering accurate tax advice to customers in easy-to-understand terms, utilizing recommended research materials, professional resources, and team support
- Assisting customers in gathering, organizing, and entering data through the designated software platform for federal and state tax returns
- Analyzing and researching a variety of tax matters to determine an appropriate course of action for customers
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of three (3) seasons of tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns prepared each year
- Prior tax preparation experience in a tax practice or retail setting
- College degree a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of tax laws, tax concepts, and familiarity with the form 1040 and all schedules
- PTIN is required (can be obtained online)
- Willingness to utilize audio/visual tools to communicate with customers
- Strong problem-solving and research skills, and the ability to quickly use online resources to find answers
- Well-developed technical troubleshooting skills

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this role is $20 to $24, with actual compensation influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. arenaflex offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off.
