Senior Scrum Master, Agile Transformation

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead agile transformations and guide multiple teams in adopting and maturing their agile practices. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility while demanding strong leadership and collaboration skills. You will act as a servant leader, coach, and facilitator for development teams, product owners, and stakeholders, helping them understand and enact Scrum and empirical product development. Your primary focus will be on removing impediments, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring the smooth delivery of high-value software increments. This role is crucial for driving efficiency and effectiveness within our agile framework. Responsibilities include: Facilitating Scrum events such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives for multiple teams. Coaching teams in self-organization and cross-functionality. Helping team members and stakeholders understand and adhere to Scrum theory, practices, and rules. Removing impediments to the team's progress. Facilitating the negotiation of priorities between the Product Owner and the Development Team. Coaching the Product Owner in backlog refinement techniques. Promoting and supporting agile transformation initiatives across the organization. Assessing the maturity of the teams and organizations and coaching them to higher levels of maturity. Working with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization. Guiding the teams on how to use agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. Ensuring clear communication and collaboration among team members and external stakeholders, regardless of location. Tracking team velocity and progress, and identifying areas for improvement. Required qualifications: Proven experience as a Scrum Master for at least 5 years, with a strong understanding of Scrum principles and practices. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is required. Advanced certifications (A-CSM, CSP-SM, PSM II/III) are a plus. Experience in facilitating agile transformations and coaching multiple teams simultaneously. Excellent knowledge of agile project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). Strong leadership, coaching, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, asynchronous work environment. Understanding of DevOps principles and practices is beneficial. A passion for continuous improvement and fostering a positive team culture. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
