Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician – Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy Data Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of patient medication orders. You will work closely with healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and patients to verify medication orders, process prescriptions, and resolve any discrepancies. This is a remote position, and you will work from the comfort of your own home, enjoying a flexible schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

* Precisely read, interpret, and enter medication orders into the computer system, including dosage calculations, label printing, and insurance verification

  • Contact healthcare professionals and insurance companies to verify medication orders and resolve any discrepancies
  • Respond to patient calls to arrange and manage new medication orders and reorders, including verifying benefits and coverage
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication histories and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related issues and concerns
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on medication therapy and patient care best practices

Essential Qualifications

* Current Arizona Pharmacy Technician License

  • At least 6 months of experience working in a pharmacy setting
  • At least 6 months of experience working with Windows-Based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
  • Strong keyboarding skills and ability to sit or stand for extended periods (8-10 hours)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

* At least 6 months of experience as a pharmacy technician

  • At least 90 days of experience handling and resolving customer needs via telephone
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, including medical billing and coding
  • Strong customer service skills and experience working in an office environment
  • At least 6 months of professional work experience, including inbound and outbound telephone customer care
  • Strong knowledge of computer programs and software applications
  • Excellent data entry skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
