Lead AI/ML Engineer, Natural Language Processing

The ideal candidate will possess a deep theoretical understanding of machine learning and NLP, combined with practical experience in building scalable, production-ready AI systems. Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of state-of-the-art NLP models and algorithms. Architect and build scalable machine learning pipelines for training, evaluating, and deploying NLP models. Conduct research on emerging NLP techniques and apply them to solve complex business problems. Collaborate with product managers and software engineers to define AI requirements and integrate NLP solutions into product offerings. Mentor and guide junior AI/ML engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation. Develop and maintain robust testing and validation frameworks for NLP models. Optimize model performance for accuracy, latency, and computational efficiency. Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and NLP research. Contribute to the development of intellectual property through publications and patents. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field. 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering with a strong focus on Natural Language Processing. Proven experience in developing and deploying NLP models for tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, machine translation, and question answering. Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras. Solid understanding of NLP libraries and toolkits such as NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices. Strong software engineering skills, including experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and research skills. Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to mentor technical teams. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote-first environment.
