Sr. Java Backend Software Engineer with Azure

Principal Level Java Backend Software Engineer The Fidelity Health organization is launching a program to build a product offering to support a new business opportunity. In support of this initiative, the Health Care Group (HCG) Technology team is looking to fill an exciting and complicated role on its development team. As a Principal level Java Backend Software Engineer, you will play a leadership role in envisioning, designing, and building the solution. You will be the technical lead of an Agile team working in a Scaled Agile environment expected to contribute to the technical leadership of the overall program, as well as the center of excellence within the HCG Technology team. This includes:

• Providing mentoring to the HCG team of developers and tech leads with specific emphasis on sound fundamental development methodology
• Collaborating with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to install applications to Azure Cloud Platform
• Providing leadership on project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies
• Participating in the HCG team’s effort to improve the efficiency and quality of the entire application development and support process

This position can be based out of the Merrimack, NH, Durham, NC, or Westlake, TX Fidelity offices. The Expertise You Have

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10+ years of development experience with 3 - 5 years of technical leadership experience at a senior level in an Agile development environment
• Agile software development practices and tools, such as JIRA, Git, Maven, and Jenkins
• Object-oriented analysis and design experience
• Java 8 capabilities, lambda, streams, and functional interfaces
• Developing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot
• Spring modules, including IOC, MVC(Rest), BATCH, Spring Boot along with other core components like OAuth2 and security
• Strong experience with relational database technologies (Oracle, PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS), preferably Yugabyte or other open-source Cloud native data platforms
• Proven experience working in a Cloud environment using Azure
• Creating Unit and integration test automation using Junit and spring boot test framework
• Developing sophisticated Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline including software configuration management, test automation, version control, static code analysis using (Jenkins, Stash, Ansible, Docker)
