Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp Agent, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Safely loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, ensuring timely connections and efficient operations.
  • Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather-related incidents.
  • Operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion, while maintaining a high level of safety awareness.
  • Utilizing baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate baggage routing and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless airport operations and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Participating in regular safety training and adhering to arenaflex's safety protocols and procedures.

Work Environment and Schedule

As a Ramp Agent, you'll work in a fast-paced airport environment, with varying shifts and schedules to accommodate operational needs. Shifts may range from early morning to overnight, and you'll work between 20 and 40 hours per week, based on your seniority. You'll also have the opportunity to work in different airport locations, depending on operational requirements.

What You Need to Succeed

To be a successful Ramp Agent, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Pass a physical ability test (PAT) and wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to hold airport-specific requirements, such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
