Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Temporary Customer Service Representative to join our Laboratory Billing Services team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, data entry, and medical record reconciliation. Responsibilities

As a Temporary Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Primarily data entry of Laboratory Requisitions, insurance verification, and medical record reconciliation
  • Providing quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education
  • Resolving lab orders and addressing customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Accurately and completely obtaining required information in the verification process, ensuring the correct patient and procedure requested, and diagnosis codes
  • Order entry process, communications, guest relations, medical record maintenance/analysis, and various clerical duties within the scope of the role
  • High volume of data entry within the computerized EPIC EMR system

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of healthcare experience, preferably in a hospital or physician's office setting
  • Experience with medical insurance, specifically Laboratory registration and insurance verification
  • EPIC EMR experience is preferred
  • Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be available for hire within two weeks

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a customer service or billing role

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
  • Experience with EPIC EMR system
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Note:
