About APILayer APILayer provides powerful, reliable, and scalable APIs that power data and insights for businesses globally. Our SERP and Web Scraping APIs enable enterprises and developers to extract structured, actionable data from search engines and websites, driving smarter decision-making. We are seeking a technically skilled engineer who can support both pre-sales engagements and go-to-market initiatives, ensuring our APIs are successfully adopted and integrated by customers. Role Overview As a Sales Engineer at APILayer, you will combine technical expertise with market execution. You will help the sales team close deals by delivering compelling demos and POCs of our SERP and Scraping APIs, while also supporting GTM initiatives such as demo environments, onboarding materials, and internal enablement tools. You will act as a bridge between engineering, product, marketing, and sales, ensuring our APIs meet customer needs and drive adoption.

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to resolve customer challenges and provide feedback on API improvements. Support product launches and GTM campaigns for our SERP and Scraping APIs. Build demo environments, tutorials, and onboarding tools for internal teams and customers. Create technical collateral, SDK examples, and integration guides that help developers and enterprises adopt our APIs quickly. Capture customer feedback to influence roadmap priorities, features, and GTM messaging. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a technical advocate for APILayer in internal presentations, webinars, and customer meetings. Identify opportunities to improve both the sales process and GTM strategy for API adoption. Stay up-to-date on search engine and web data trends, scraping techniques, and API best practices. Qualifications 3+ years in sales engineering, pre-sales, or GTM enablement for SaaS or API products. Strong technical experience with APIs, web scraping, search engine data, or data pipelines. Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience building demos, POCs, SDKs, and onboarding materials. Ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
