The Regional Sales Director is responsible for overseeing and driving sales operations within a designated geographic area. The RSD will identify growth opportunities; through development of new agency appointments to enhance new sales opportunities, direct sales opportunities, conference attendance in their market and national conferences. The RSD will manage and implement strategies to grow the sales pipeline. RSD will maintain agency relationship and manage all aspects of the sales process for both new business and renewals, from collecting information needed to quote, working with underwriting, presenting, assisting sales support staff onboarding of new clients, and renewing them. The Regional Sales Director will oversee sales within their region through agency partners and direct sales.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement regional sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue objectives within their market through agency partnerships and direct sales. Establish and maintain relationships with key partners (agents), clients, and nonprofit industry stakeholders. Educate agency partners on Unemployment Insurance (UI) Programs to help them expand their books of business in the nonprofit sector through sale of UI Programs. Leverage new programs for the for-profit sector to gain more access to agent's nonprofit clients Assist agency partners at point of sale from data collection through underwriting process to sales presentation to client onboarding. Manage existing and new clients within UI Programs with and customer issues up to and through the renewal process. Collaborate with marketing, Third Party Administrators, and operations teams to support sales and client relation initiatives. Present webinars and in person sessions to individuals and groups as needed. Attend client meetings or events, agent trainings or events, and conferences both local and national as needed. Travel will be required up to but not limited to 30% of the time.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (required) in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred (but not required) Sales experience (2+ years) in B2B sales preferred, or 2 years of forward-facing client services. Proactive "self-starter" who can manage their own calendar, set goals, and drive their own activity Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Public speaking experience Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. "Proven history of high performance in competitive environments (sprots, sales, or similar)".
