Professor, Early Childhood Education
About the position Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking a Professor of Early Childhood Education for the School of Education. Responsibilities
- Teach a variety of Early Childhood Education courses.
- Create and deliver course content using technology.
- Engage in professional development activities, which may include research, additional coursework, seminars, and conferences.
- Communicate effectively with students, peers, supervisors, and staff.
- Maintain positive working relationships with students, peers, supervisors, and staff.
Requirements
- Doctoral or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in Early Childhood Education or a related field (a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in ECE).
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an early childhood setting.
- Experience with and/or interest in teaching in an online environment.
- The ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content in a variety of Early Childhood Education courses.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught.
- Strong history of or evidence of an interest in professional development activities, which may include research, additional coursework, seminars, and conferences.
- The ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive working relationships with students, peers, supervisors, and staff.
