Senior Sales Consultant – Hematology (Western Canada)

Job Summary As a Senior Sales Consultant, Heme, you will be responsible for driving sales and market share growth for Eli Lilly Canada Inc.'s hematology portfolio within a defined territory. This role requires a strong understanding of the hematology landscape, exceptional sales acumen, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare professionals and stakeholders. At Lilly Canada, we have three levels of Sales positions based on the candidate’s experience, background, and qualifications. The expected compensation is: Associate Sales Consultant : $82,500 - $121,000 Sales Consultant : $97,500 - $143,000 Sr. Sales Consultant : $106,500 - $156,200 This role is eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as participation in the Lilly Sales Incentive Program and a company car. This posting is for an existing vacancy. Job Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets for assigned hematology products within the designated territory.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory plans to maximize sales opportunities and address specific market needs.
  • Identify, profile, and develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders, hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and other relevant healthcare professionals.
  • Effectively communicate complex clinical and scientific information about Eli Lilly's hematology products to healthcare providers, addressing their needs and demonstrating value.
  • Conduct product presentations, clinical discussions, and educational programs for individual healthcare professionals and groups.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and healthcare policies to identify business opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including marketing, medical affairs, market access, and sales management to ensure a cohesive and impactful customer experience.
  • Manage and prioritize daily activities, territory budget, and resources effectively to maximize return on investment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and territory performance.
  • Adhere to all company policies, industry regulations, and ethical guidelines.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or business discipline (e.g., Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business Administration).
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 2 years in hematology, oncology, or a highly specialized therapeutic area.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving market share growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system and pharmaceutical market.
  • Strong understanding of hematological diseases, treatment paradigms, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills to identify opportunities and solve problems.
  • High level of self-motivation, initiative, and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) may be an asset depending on the territory.

The anticipated wage for this position is $82,500 - $156,200 Full-time equivalent employees may also be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
