About the Opportunity The Senior Project Manager, Smartsheet & Delivery Innovation is a hands-on technical role within the PMO Delivery Excellence organization, responsible for building, maintaining, and continuously improving Ellucian's Smartsheet delivery infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of delivery operations, reporting intelligence, and applied innovation — playing a key role in how the PMO DE team designs, scales, and improves the tools that power delivery across a portfolio of 200+ colleges and universities. This is an individual-contributor role reporting into PMO Delivery Excellence leadership. Where you will make an impact Smartsheet Platform Administration — Serve as the team's Smartsheet subject matter expert, configuring and maintaining Control Center configurations, workspace templates, intake workflows, and permission models across the delivery portfolio in line with established governance. Reporting & Dashboards — Build and maintain executive, director, PM, and client-facing dashboards and reports that surface delivery health, milestone tracking, and portfolio-level insights in real time. AI-Augmented Delivery — Identify, recommend, and implement AI tools, automation, and integrations that reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and accelerate delivery outcomes for the team and its clients. User Experience & Enablement — Design intuitive, role-appropriate tool experiences for delivery teams, clients, and leadership, and lead enablement sessions that drive adoption and consistency across the organization. Stakeholder Communication & Enhancement Support — Translate platform enhancements and tooling changes into clear, accessible communications for stakeholders at all levels. Partner with delivery teams and functional leads to gather requirements, set expectations, and build understanding around how the platform is evolving. Leadership Partnership — Partner with PMO DE leadership to understand organizational priorities and translate them into tooling enhancements and reporting capabilities that support the team's roadmap and strategic goals. Innovation Pipeline — Help maintain a backlog of tooling improvements, evaluate emerging technologies, and pilot solutions that advance the PMO DE team's delivery infrastructure. Cross-Functional Partnership — Collaborate with Delivery Directors, PMs, and functional leads to translate operational pain points into scalable, governed solutions within the Smartsheet ecosystem. Governance & Standards — Uphold and help refine standards for plan structure, data hygiene, naming conventions, and reporting integrity across the portfolio. What you will bring Deep, hands-on expertise in Smartsheet — including Control Center, dynamic views, cross-sheet formulas, automation, and premium integrations (MCP Server, Bridge, WorkApps, Data Shuttle). Experience configuring and scaling Smartsheet environments across large, complex portfolios. Comfort with AI tools and a proactive orientation toward leveraging them in delivery operations. Strong communicator who can engage confidently with stakeholders across delivery, operations, and leadership — translating technical concepts into plain language and building alignment around platform direction. Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where priorities shift and the ability to manage competing demands without losing quality or momentum is essential. Strong systems thinker who can balance user experience, governance, and scalability simultaneously. 5+ years in project delivery, PMO operations, or a related tooling/operations role. Background in professional services, implementation delivery, or PMO environments strongly preferred. PMP a plus.
