Remote Supply Chain Optimization Lead

Our client is looking for an experienced and innovative Remote Supply Chain Optimization Lead to drive significant improvements across their global supply chain network. This leadership role, operating remotely, will focus on analyzing current processes, identifying inefficiencies, and designing and implementing strategic solutions to enhance speed, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance. You will leverage advanced analytics, technology, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve these goals. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in supply chain strategy, robust analytical capabilities, and a proven ability to lead complex optimization projects from conception to completion in a virtual environment. This position requires a strategic thinker who can influence stakeholders and implement change effectively from a distance. Key Responsibilities: Lead the analysis and redesign of end-to-end supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels. Develop and implement data-driven strategies for network design, inventory management, demand planning, and transportation optimization. Identify and evaluate emerging supply chain technologies and best practices to drive innovation and competitive advantage. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Procurement, Sales, IT) and external partners to ensure alignment and successful execution of optimization initiatives. Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and identify areas for continuous improvement. Manage complex optimization projects, including scoping, planning, execution, and change management. Develop business cases and financial models to support proposed supply chain initiatives. Provide thought leadership and guidance on supply chain best practices to the organization. Mentor and develop supply chain talent within the organization. Ensure sustainable and resilient supply chain operations. Qualifications: Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations, with a strong focus on optimization and strategy. Proven expertise in advanced supply chain modeling, network design, and optimization techniques. Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in statistical analysis, data mining, and forecasting methods. Experience with supply chain software suites (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS, APS) and advanced analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau). Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and drive change in a large organization, preferably with remote team collaboration experience. Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
