Consultative Pharmacy Technician, Level 3
Job Description:
- Accurately performs prescription data entry in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Build and maintain accurate medication profiles and MARs (Medication Administration Records) for IPU patients.
- Understand and apply IPU model variations and profiling requirements for different hospice partners.
- Review and process faxed medication orders independently, ensuring timely follow-up where needed.
- Contact hospices to obtain or clarify prescription information and document interactions thoroughly
Requirements:
- Minimum of one (1) year pharmacy technician data entry experience (2+ years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of brand and generic drug names
- Familiarity with formulary systems and medication safety protocols
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a high-volume setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and professional integrity
- Ability to work independently and collaborate virtually with a dispersed team
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including rotating weekends and holidays
- Proficiency with Windows-based applications and Microsoft Office Suite
- Accurate and efficient typing/data entry skills
- Experience using pharmacy systems such as DocuWare and Infinity
- Comfort with troubleshooting remote systems and navigating multiple platforms simultaneously

- Pharmacy Technician in Pennsylvania (PA): must be registered with the PA Board of Pharmacy or obtain registration prior to internal deadline
- Pharmacy Technician in Tennessee (TN): must be registered with the TN Board of Pharmacy
