Software Engineer, Product (Early Career)
Asana is a leading platform for human + AI collaboration, and they are seeking a Software Engineer to join their Product team in Vancouver. In this role, you will be involved in the entire product development process, building features and collaborating closely with UI designers to enhance user experience.
Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end features by delivering technical designs and clean code
- Lead initiatives across the organization, maintaining a balance between technical excellence and alignment with key stakeholders
- Leverage a strong sense of ownership and collaborative spirit to drive product outcomes efficiently
- Champion robust engineering standards and operational health through code reviews and peer mentorship
- Guide design discussions by articulating technical limitations and helping colleagues navigate trade-offs
- Help shape the long-term roadmap and technical strategy for our evolving product suite
Skills
- Recently graduated (or are about to graduate in summer 2026) with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- Holds foundational experience, ideally 1+ year of working in software engineering environments, such as technical internships, co-ops, or early career roles
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and programming concepts
- Possesses a growth mindset, looking for an environment to empower teammates and move collaboratively toward shared goals
- Exhibits empathetic collaboration with the ability to partner effectively across different roles and engineering functions
- Shows a track record of being a fast learner who is excited to contribute to product development and grow technical skills from day one
- Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making
