Human Resources Coordinator
Keystone Custom Homes is a leading custom home builder in Central Pennsylvania, empowering homeowners to realize their vision through customer-led design. They are seeking an HR Coordinator to manage full-cycle recruiting, enhance onboarding experiences, and support employee engagement initiatives, all while contributing to a positive company culture.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles — from sourcing and screening to offer coordination — with an emphasis on active pipeline building, not just reactive posting
- Build relationships with candidates and maintain a warm talent pipeline for high-frequency roles
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, craft compelling job descriptions, and move candidates through efficiently
- Conduct background checks and employment eligibility verifications
- Design and deliver a first-day-and-beyond onboarding experience that sets new hires up for success — not just paperwork, but genuine integration into the team
- Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure new employees have the tools, access, and context they need from day one
- Continuously refine onboarding materials and processes based on feedback and outcomes
- Plan and execute company events and recognition programs that reflect KCH's values and reinforce a positive, high-performing culture
- Support wellness initiatives and other engagement programs that contribute to retention and satisfaction
- Act as a visible, approachable presence for employees across departments
- Maintain accurate employee records and support HR compliance requirements
- Contribute to HR process improvement — identify where things can be done better, and help build the systems and workflows to support a growing team
- Take on expanded responsibility over time in areas like compensation support, policy administration, or HR analytics as your expertise deepens
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
- 1–3 years of experience in HR, recruiting, people operations, or a closely related role
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing the details
- Excellent communication — written, verbal, and interpersonal
- Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new tools; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
- High degree of integrity, professionalism, and discretion with sensitive information
- Collaborative by nature — you see yourself as part of a team, not just executing a task list
- Experience with an ATS (applicant tracking system) or HRIS platform
- Background in a high-growth, multi-location, or construction/trades environment
- PHR or SHRM-CP coursework or certification (in progress or completed)
Benefits
- Bonus eligible
- Health, dental, and vision coverage
- Paid time off
- Participation in KCH's performance incentive program
- This position is hybrid eligible
