Our client, a premier real estate investment and development firm, is seeking a highly accomplished Vice President of Real Estate Development to lead significant projects in the dynamic Seattle, Washington, US market. This senior leadership role demands extensive experience in all aspects of real estate development, from site selection and acquisition to design, construction, and disposition. You will be responsible for strategizing, planning, and executing a robust development pipeline, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes managing relationships with investors, lenders, architects, engineers, contractors, and government agencies. The VP will play a key role in identifying new development opportunities, conducting feasibility studies, and securing necessary entitlements and financing. A deep understanding of market conditions, zoning regulations, and construction costs in the Seattle metropolitan area is essential. You will lead and mentor a team of development professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment. Exceptional negotiation, financial acumen, and strategic planning skills are critical for success. A Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is required; an MBA or Master's in Real Estate Development is strongly preferred. A minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in real estate development, with a proven track record of managing large-scale, complex projects, is mandatory. This hybrid role requires significant on-site presence for project management and stakeholder engagement, with flexibility for remote work. The VP will be instrumental in shaping Seattle's urban landscape. Responsibilities: Oversee the entire real estate development lifecycle for a portfolio of projects. Identify, evaluate, and acquire new development sites and opportunities. Develop and implement strategic development plans to achieve company objectives. Manage project budgets, financial models, and secure project financing. Lead and coordinate design teams, consultants, and contractors throughout the development process. Navigate zoning laws, permitting processes, and ensure compliance with all regulations. Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, lenders, government officials, and community stakeholders. Mitigate project risks and resolve issues that arise during development. Provide leadership and mentorship to the development team. Present project updates, financial analyses, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in real estate development management. Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale development projects. In-depth knowledge of real estate development finance, market analysis, and legal aspects. Strong understanding of Seattle's real estate market, zoning, and entitlement processes. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. MBA or Master's in Real Estate Development is highly preferred. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Experience in a hybrid work environment. Apply To This Job
