As a Remote Customer Support Engineer within the Network Security & IT Operations team, you will be the guardian of the backbone that keeps millions of travelers safe, informed, and satisfied. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures that support arenaflex’s internal and external applications, ensuring 99.9% uptime for critical services.
  • Provide Tier‑2 and Tier‑3 remote support for firewall appliances, VPN concentrators, and intrusion detection/prevention systems across on‑premise data centers and cloud environments.
  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks (e.g., PCI‑DSS, ISO 27001) to identify and remediate risks before they impact operations.
  • Collaborate with arenaflex’s Business Units to develop and enforce firewall policies, access control lists, and segmentation strategies that align with corporate risk appetite.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot remote access solutions for corporate users, leveraging advanced technologies such as Application ID, Client ID, and multi‑factor authentication.
  • Support airport‑wide network deployments, including Wi‑Fi, NetMotion, and mobile device management, ensuring seamless connectivity for staff and contractors.
  • Document all changes, incidents, and resolutions in the IT Service Management (ITSM) platform, adhering to best‑practice change management processes.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation to provide 24/7 emergency support for network outages, security incidents, and critical infrastructure failures.
  • Partner with arenaflex’s Cloud Services team to design hybrid cloud security models, integrating on‑premise firewalls with cloud‑native security groups.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by recommending automation, scripting, and orchestration tools that reduce manual effort and increase reliability.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in network security engineering, preferably within a large, distributed enterprise.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPN technologies, and firewall rule‑sets.
  • Proficiency with security platforms such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, or similar, including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and familiarity with cloud‑native security controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze security logs, conduct forensic investigations, and produce actionable remediation plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Self‑starter mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and delivering results with minimal supervision.
