Insurance Coverage Attorney | New York (Fully Remote) – Up to $230k Base Location/Schedule: New York (Fully Remote) Base Salary: Up to $230k (plus performance incentives) Practice: Insurance Coverage – Commercial, specialty, professional, and surplus lines coverage, declaratory judgment actions, bad faith, reinsurance, and high-stakes disputes for insurers and Fortune 500 clients. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex claims and draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and coverage position letters.
- Prosecute and defend declaratory judgment actions, bad faith litigation, and reinsurance disputes.
- Handle subrogation recoveries and coverage allocation in high-value property, marine, and catastrophic losses.
- Advise clients on policy interpretation, endorsements, and regulatory compliance issues.
Core Requirements (Flexibility for Exceptional Candidates):
- JD from an accredited law school and active bar admission (NY preferred; multi-jurisdictional a plus).
- 3–8+ years of insurance coverage or related litigation experience with strong writing and analytical skills.
