Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior GL Bookkeeper to join our expanding Bookkeeping Group. This is a 100 % remote, full‑time role that reports to the Senior Bookkeeping Director. The ideal candidate will partner with a collaborative team of accounting professionals to drive process improvements, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support the company’s strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and month‑end account reconciliations for assigned general ledger (GL) areas, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
• Own the month‑end close process for multiple business units, coordinating with cross‑functional partners to meet tight deadlines.
• Maintain and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, including cash, receivables, payables, and accrued liabilities, using recognized accounting methodology.
• Assist external auditors during annual and quarterly reviews by providing schedules, documentation, and timely responses to inquiries.
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, and other functional teams to resolve accounting issues, improve data flow, and support strategic decision‑making.
• Lead special projects focused on process automation, internal controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of accounting procedures, ensuring knowledge transfer and audit readiness.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior bookkeeping staff, fostering a culture of learning and accountability.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on bookkeeping or GL accounting experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB standards, and SOX/internal controls.
• Proficiency with NetSuite, Coupa, and G‑Suite (or comparable cloud‑based ERP and collaboration tools).
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to work through large data sets and identify discrepancies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications & Technical Skills

• CPA certification or progress toward certification.
• Experience with advanced Excel functions, pivot tables, and data visualization tools.
