As part of our commitment to building an information‑driven organization, the Business Analytics group at arenaflex is expanding its talent pool. We are looking for a highly motivated Remote Data Analyst who will partner with data scientists, engineers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate complex business challenges into actionable data solutions. This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $25, a flexible remote work environment, and the chance to make a tangible impact on a world‑class technology brand.

Role Summary – What You’ll Do

The Remote Data Analyst will be a key contributor to end‑to‑end data science initiatives, driving insights that inform product strategy, operational efficiency, and customer experience. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines, develop predictive models, and communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Core Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines using SQL, Python, and modern data‑engineering frameworks (e.g., PySpark, Airflow).
  • Analytical Modeling: Apply statistical and machine‑learning techniques—including regression, classification, time‑series forecasting, and natural‑language processing—to solve business problems such as demand forecasting, churn prediction, and product recommendation.
  • Insight Generation: Conduct exploratory data analysis, create visualizations, and produce clear, concise reports that translate raw data into strategic recommendations for product, operations, and executive teams.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Partner with data scientists, data engineers, product owners, and senior leadership to define problem statements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver data‑driven solutions.
  • Data Governance & Quality: Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with internal standards and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) through rigorous testing and documentation.
  • Tool & Platform Enablement: Build and maintain dashboards and interactive analytics applications using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Streamlit to democratize data access across the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, streamline workflows, and enhance the overall data maturity of arenaflex.

Essential Qualifications – What We Require

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a quantitative role such as data analysis, data engineering, business analytics, or software development.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python, including experience with data‑science libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and data‑processing frameworks like PySpark.
  • Machine‑Learning Expertise: Demonstrated ability to develop, evaluate, and deploy ML models, with a focus on at least one core area (e.g., predictive modeling, anomaly detection, NLP, computer vision).
  • Data Manipulation Skills: Strong capability to extract, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets—both structured and unstructured.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences and influence decision‑makers.
  • Problem‑Solving Mindset: Proven track record of taking ambiguous problems from concept to implementation, delivering measurable business impact.
  • Self‑Management: Ability to work independently in a remote, unstructured environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality.

Preferred Qualifications – What Sets You Apart

  • Master’s degree or advanced certification in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with data‑visualization frameworks such as Tableau, Power BI, or Streamlit.
  • Background in the automotive, energy, or consumer‑electronics industries, providing domain‑specific insight.
  • Exposure to MLOps practices, including model monitoring, versioning, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior analysts or contribute to internal knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down complex business problems into data‑driven questions and formulate robust analytical approaches.
  • Statistical Rigor: Strong foundation in statistical inference, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
  • Programming Acumen: Clean, maintainable code practices, version control (Git), and familiarity with software development lifecycles.
  • Collaboration: Team‑oriented mindset, comfortable working with diverse stakeholders across product, engineering, and leadership.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in fast‑paced environments, quickly learning new tools, technologies, and business domains.
  • Ethical Judgment: Commitment to responsible AI, data privacy, and ethical use of analytics.
