Remote · USA Full-time New today

JLL empowers you to shape a brighter way. Our people at JLL are shaping the future of real estate for a better world by combining world class services, advisory and technology for our clients. We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people and empowering them to thrive, grow meaningful careers and to find a place where they belong. Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward. Role Overview The Senior Interior Designer plays a pivotal role within the Project Delivery Services (PDS) team by leading the interior design strategy and execution for complex, multi-site, or high-profile workplace projects. This position combines creative vision with technical expertise to deliver client-centric, code-compliant, and brand-aligned interior environments across corporate, technology, financial, and professional services sectors. You will mentor junior designers, collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and external consultants, and serve as a trusted design advisor to clients throughout the project lifecycle—from programming and concept development through construction administration and occupancy.

Key Responsibilities

Lead interior design efforts on mid-to-large scale commercial interior projects, including workplace strategy integration, space planning, materiality, lighting, FF&E, and user experience. Develop and present compelling design concepts, mood boards, finish palettes, and 3D visualizations to internal teams and client stakeholders. Oversee the production of high-quality, coordinated design documentation in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance. Serve as the primary interior design point of contact during project delivery, managing client expectations and resolving design-related issues proactively. Ensure all designs meet applicable building codes, accessibility standards (e.g., ADA), life safety requirements, and sustainability frameworks (e.g., LEED, WELL, Fitwel). Collaborate with cost consultants and procurement teams to align design intent with budget parameters and value-engineering opportunities. Review shop drawings, material submittals, and installation mock-ups for design fidelity and quality control. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior interior designers and coordinators. Contribute to PDS design standards, best practices, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Support business development efforts through proposal contributions, interview presentations, and portfolio development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 7+ years of professional interior design experience, with a strong focus on corporate/commercial interiors and full project lifecycle delivery. Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Advanced proficiency in Revit (BIM workflow), AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape/Twinmotion, and Adobe Creative Suite. In-depth knowledge of building codes, ADA compliance, sustainable design principles, and global workplace trends. Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. NCIDQ certification required. LEED AP and/or WELL AP accreditation strongly preferred. Experience working within an integrated AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) or multidisciplinary consultancy is a plus.
