# Email Marketing Manager (Contract/Freelance) ## Company Fruit of the Earth is a 40+ year heritage wellness, skincare, aloe, and sun care company preparing for a major digital transformation and multi-brand launch. We are launching:
- New Shopify website
- Amazon Storefront
- TikTok Shop
- New product lines including skincare, wellness, and sun care brands
We are seeking an experienced Email Marketing Manager to build, launch, and manage our email marketing program. --- ## Project Overview Our email database has not been actively marketed to in several years. We are looking for a specialist who can: 1. Audit and reactivate our email database 2. Improve email deliverability 3. Build automated email flows 4. Create ongoing email campaigns 5. Support our September 2026 digital launch This role may evolve into an ongoing monthly engagement. --- ## Responsibilities ### Email Account Audit
- Review existing Mailchimp account
- Audit current database health
- Review list quality and subscriber status
- Analyze deliverability risks
- Recommend best practices for reactivation
### List Cleanup & Segmentation
- Remove invalid subscribers
- Suppress inactive contacts when appropriate
- Create audience segments
- Establish engagement-based segmentation
- Develop a re-engagement strategy
### Deliverability Management
- Verify SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records
- Improve sender reputation
- Develop email warm-up strategy
- Monitor bounce rates and spam complaints
- Ensure best practices are followed
### Email Design & Development Create:
- Master branded email template
- Newsletter template
- Product launch template
- Promotional template
- Educational content template
Maintain brand consistency across all campaigns. ### Automation Development Build and launch:
- Welcome Series (3–5 emails)
- New Subscriber Flow
- Re-engagement Flow
- Product Education Flow
- Launch Announcement Flow
Future experience with Shopify automations is preferred. ### Campaign Management Develop and execute: June–July:
- Two email campaigns per month
August:
- Weekly teaser campaigns
September:
- Launch campaign sequence
Content themes may include:
- Brand heritage
- Aloe expertise
- Wellness education
- Product education
- Behind-the-scenes content
- New product launches
- Company announcements
### Reporting & Analytics Provide monthly reporting including:
- Open rates
- Click-through rates
- Deliverability metrics
- Subscriber growth
- List health
- Campaign recommendations
