About the Role

As a Remote Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will serve as a vital point of contact for our clients, helping them understand and maximize their prescription benefits. Whether you’re guiding a member through formulary details, assisting a pharmacy with claim inquiries, or proactively reaching out to customers regarding prescription orders, your work will directly impact the health and satisfaction of countless individuals.

This is a full-time, permanent remote position based in the United States, offering 35–40 hours per week. We operate seven days a week, with business hours spanning from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm local time. To meet the needs of our diverse customer base, flexibility is essential—you’ll be scheduled for one of our 8-hour shifts within this window.

We understand that starting a new role can feel overwhelming, which is why arenaflex provides comprehensive paid training from Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST, lasting four to five weeks. This training ensures you feel confident, competent, and prepared before engaging with members. Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to Inbound Inquiries: Handle a high volume of incoming calls from clients regarding benefit eligibility, prescription status, formulary questions, and general plan information, delivering accurate and timely assistance.
  • Educate and Inform Members: Clearly explain prescription benefits, plan usage, fee structures, formulary tiers, order statuses, and claims processes in a way that is easy for members to understand.
  • Active Listening and Documentation: Ask relevant, probing questions, listen attentively to member concerns, and accurately document all necessary information in our computer systems.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify issues quickly, propose practical solutions, and communicate next steps to customers, pharmacies, and physicians regarding prescription orders, reorders, and payment matters.
  • Outbound Outreach: Make proactive calls to clients to follow up on prescription orders, address remittance concerns, and provide outstanding service that goes beyond expectations.
  • Multi-System Navigation: Efficiently toggle between multiple databases and platforms while maintaining empathy and confidence during customer interactions.
  • Performance Excellence: Meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) related to call quality, resolution time, and customer satisfaction in a metrics-driven environment.

Our Streamlined Interview Process

You’ll complete a digital, recorded interview consisting of five questions, taking less than 30 minutes total. We ask that you be expressive, clear, and detailed in your responses so we can get to know you and your communication style. Once a decision is made, our team will promptly notify you of the outcome.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (or higher), OR equivalent work experience.
  • Customer Service Experience: A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, including providing service over the phone.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with PC and Windows applications, with the ability to learn new and complex computer systems quickly.
  • Microsoft Office Basics: Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Word (ability to open and navigate documents) and Microsoft Excel (ability to open and navigate spreadsheets).
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work any 8-hour shift within our operating hours of Sunday through Sunday, 5:00 am to 11:00 pm local time, in either Pacific or Mountain Time Zone depending on your location.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous call center experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Experience delivering exceptional customer service in a remote or virtual setting.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles in digital environments.
  • Experience working with digital platforms and systems including web, chat, and email.
  • Background in healthcare, insurance, or related fields, with an understanding of medical terminology, insurance plan documents, or benefit program design.
  • Experience in social services, behavioral health, disease prevention, health promotion, or behavior change—particularly with vulnerable populations.

To succeed in this remote role at arenaflex, you’ll need a few key things in place:

  • Dedicated Workspace: A separate, dedicated workspace within your home that is distinct from other living areas and ensures member data privacy.
  • Data Security: The ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure and confidential.
  • Reliable Internet: A location capable of receiving an arenaflex-approved high-speed internet connection, or access to an existing reliable high-speed service.
  • Wired Connection: The ability to connect directly to the internet via hardwire (either directly to the modem or router)—wireless connections are not sufficient for this role.
