About the Opportunity

Step into the magic of storytelling backed by the power of data. At arenaflex, we are reimagining how the world experiences entertainment, and our streaming division stands at the forefront of that transformation. We are seeking a curious, detail-oriented, and analytically driven Remote Data Analyst – Disney+ Consumer Experience & Streaming Insights to join our Studio Research and Analysis team on a part-time basis. If you are passionate about turning complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that shape the future of direct-to-consumer streaming, this role is your stage.

As a valued member of our research community, you will partner closely with product, marketing, content curation, and in-home advertising teams. Your work will directly influence the strategic decisions that define how millions of subscribers interact with our streaming platform every single day. This is more than a data role — it is an opportunity to contribute to one of the most beloved entertainment ecosystems on the planet, all from the comfort of your remote workspace.

What You Will Do

Core Responsibilities

  • Support a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research initiatives, including data collection, preparation, extraction, and analysis from multiple internal and external sources to build executive summaries, tables, and comprehensive report sections.
  • Join disparate datasets using SQL to support the daily operations of the Disney+ customer experience tracking program and broader streaming portfolio.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, marketing, engagement, and content strategy teams to define project objectives, business requirements, and timelines, ensuring datasets are continuously optimized and prioritized.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with research partners across departments and with external vendors, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared learning.
  • Analyze and prepare recurring and ad hoc reports using both quantitative and qualitative data for various stakeholders across Disney+ product marketing, engagement, and product strategy teams.
  • Manage assigned projects end-to-end, execute quality assurance processes, and report task status to managers to ensure timely completion within established deadlines.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional analysis teams working within Snowflake and Databricks environments.
  • Maintain clear and current documentation — both written and verbal — of all data elements, definitions, and requirements.
  • Respond to critical data requests from internal clients with accuracy and speed.
  • Support the presentation of research findings and contribute meaningfully to related business discussions and strategy sessions.
  • Stay ahead of emerging SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) and in-home industry trends, bringing fresh perspectives to a rapidly evolving media landscape.

Work Schedule and Location

This role follows a hybrid-friendly model designed to balance focused deep work with collaborative team engagement. You will work remotely part of the week with flexibility to connect with your team virtually, and you will be expected to maintain the working hours of 8 hours per day aligned with U.S. business operations. Our team collaborates from our Burbank, USA hub, but you will primarily operate as a remote contributor with all the tools and support needed to thrive from anywhere.

Who You Are

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Analytics, Statistics, Market Research, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in SQL, with demonstrated ability to extract data and join disparate sources to build a rich, comprehensive picture for the business.
  • Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to translate raw numbers into meaningful narratives.
  • Capacity to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities can shift.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities, including the ability to create clear, concise, and visually compelling presentations.
  • Strong multitasking capabilities and the ability to perform under tight deadlines and constant change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in data processing tools such as SPSS, Q, or MarketSight.
  • Hands-on experience with survey platforms including Forsta, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or similar tools.
  • Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or equivalent systems.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as R, Python, SAS, STATA, or comparable analytical tools.
  • Postgraduate degree in Market Research, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
  • Quantitative analysis background, either on the vendor side or client side.
  • Experience analyzing survey data to extract meaningful consumer insights.
  • Familiarity with subscription-based business models and recurring revenue strategies.

Skills and Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Excellence: You see data as a story waiting to be told, and you know how to ask the right questions to uncover what matters most.
  • Technical Versatility: Comfortable navigating SQL, cloud-based data warehouses, and visualization tools, with a willingness to learn new technologies as the landscape evolves.
  • Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in cross-functional environments and can communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences with clarity and confidence.
  • Detail Orientation: You understand that the smallest data discrepancy can change the trajectory of a strategic decision, and you approach your work with rigor and precision.
  • Curiosity and Initiative: You proactively seek out trends, anomalies, and opportunities, bringing ideas to the table rather than waiting for direction.
  • Adaptability: The streaming industry moves fast, and you are energized — not overwhelmed — by change.

  • Opportunities to expand your expertise across qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Cross-functional collaboration that broadens your understanding of product, marketing, content strategy, and consumer experience disciplines.
  • A clear pathway to expanded responsibilities and full-time opportunities for high-performing team members.
  • Access to internal learning programs, workshops, and industry conferences that keep you at the cutting edge of data analytics and streaming media.

  • Flexible remote work arrangements that support your lifestyle and productivity.
  • Access to professional development resources and learning stipends.
