- Develop and maintain high‑performance data models on the Cornerstone Data Platform, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with governance standards.
- Leverage big‑data technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark, PySpark, and Python to enable batch and real‑time analytics for over 5 million annual surveys.
- Build reusable analytics frameworks that support metric definition, KPI tracking, and dashboard creation for cross‑functional teams.
- Automate testing and validation processes to guarantee data quality, reliability, and performance at scale.
- Partner with agile squads to deliver incremental product enhancements, ensuring rapid feedback loops and continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in data modeling, pipeline optimization, and cloud‑native analytics.
- Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies, proposing proof‑of‑concepts, and championing data‑driven culture throughout arenaflex.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools (Hive, HDFS) and Spark (PySpark) in a production environment.
- Proficiency in Python scripting, shell scripting, and data‑pipeline orchestration (e.g., Airflow, Luigi).
- Demonstrated ability to design, build, and maintain large‑scale data models that support analytics and reporting.
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts, data quality frameworks, and metric definition.
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment, collaborating with product owners, scrum masters, and cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken); additional language skills are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
