- Must-Have*
Experience as a DB2 (on z/OS) Database Administrator. Working knowledge of DB2 internals, fundamentals, installations, and operations. Working knowledge of DB2 data sharing in a Parallel Sysplex environment. Knowledge of systems performance tuning and capacity planning. Knowledge of security interfaces with DB2 and experience with SMP/E and UserMods. Experience with installation and use of DB2 tools and ISV products. Understanding of REXX, HTML, and/or Java code; experience with CICS/DB2 and MQ/DB2. Knowledge of interfacing with and installing OEM vendor tools. Disaster recovery planning and support experience. Proficiency in DB2 systems performance tuning and capacity planning. Proficiency in application-related performance tuning, access path analysis, and extensive SQL code tuning. Proficiency in the use of DB2 monitoring tools, and logical and physical database design skills.
