Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking an experienced Information Specialist II to join our remote workforce based in Florida, USA. This role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining sophisticated Splunk dashboards, searches, and data pipelines that support critical business functions such as customer service, fraud detection, and operational monitoring. The successful candidate will act as a technical liaison between data engineers, product owners, and application teams, ensuring that data is reliable, accessible, and presented in a way that drives informed decision‑making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance Splunk dashboards and searches that meet business requirements for reliability, scalability, and usability.
  • Collaborate with product owners and application teams to translate functional needs into technical specifications, ensuring data models align with business logic.
  • Perform complex troubleshooting of Splunk issues, leveraging deep knowledge of indexing, search optimization, and dashboard rendering.
  • Integrate Splunk with external systems and APIs (e.g., AWS, RESTful services) to ingest, enrich, and visualize data from diverse sources.
  • Lead the creation of Splunk best‑practice documentation, including search syntax, alert configuration, and dashboard design guidelines for the internal user community.
  • Provide day‑to‑day operational support for the Splunk environment, including incident response, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Manage version control of Splunk configurations and related code using Git and Ansible, ensuring reproducible deployments across environments.
  • Mentor junior team members and conduct training sessions on Splunk search language, alerting strategies, and dashboard development.
