About arenaflex

arenaflex is a leading global retailer and technology‑driven organization that delivers everyday value to millions of members worldwide. With a strong focus on innovation, operational excellence, and a culture that celebrates teamwork, arenaflex continuously invests in its people to keep the business running smoothly and securely. As part of our commitment to expanding digital capabilities, we are looking for motivated individuals to join our remote IT team and help safeguard the network infrastructure that powers our stores, distribution centers, and cloud services.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s hyper‑connected environment, a resilient network is the backbone of every successful operation. As a Network Support Analyst at arenaflex, you will be the first line of defense against network disruptions, ensuring that critical systems stay online, performance remains optimal, and our business partners experience minimal downtime. This is an entry‑level, fully remote position that offers a clear pathway to grow into senior network engineering or IT service management roles.

Key Responsibilities

Working from the comfort of your home office, you will be responsible for a broad set of tasks that span daily monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement. Your day‑to‑day duties will include:

  • Monitoring network health across all arenaflex environments—including warehouses, data centers, regional offices, colocation sites, and cloud platforms.
  • Detecting, diagnosing, and resolving network incidents in accordance with ITIL best practices, ensuring rapid restoration of service.
  • Documenting every incident step‑by‑step in the ticketing system, providing clear, concise, and actionable information for leadership and audit purposes.
  • Collaborating with external service providers and hardware vendors to coordinate hardware replacements, firmware upgrades, and service restorations.
  • Performing routine audits of network equipment inventory, verifying compliance with configuration standards, and updating asset records.
  • Supporting network projects such as capacity planning, hardware roll‑outs, and migration initiatives for both on‑premise and cloud‑based networks.
  • Providing tier‑1 and tier‑2 technical assistance to internal users via phone, email, and chat, translating complex technical concepts into understandable language.
  • Escalating critical issues to senior engineers or Cisco TAC when hardware failures exceed the scope of entry‑level troubleshooting.
  • Maintaining and updating network documentation, including topology diagrams, VLAN configurations, and subnet allocations.
  • Participating in weekly team meetings, knowledge‑sharing sessions, and continuous‑learning workshops to stay current with emerging networking technologies.
  • Managing and prioritizing tasks in Smartsheet, ensuring that all assigned work aligns with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Contributing ideas for process improvements, automation scripts, and best‑practice enhancements that increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a technical support or network‑operations environment, or a comparable academic background in networking.
  • Fundamental understanding of Ethernet, fiber optics, VPN, MPLS, leased lines, and IP routing concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of network hardware—including switches, routers, and firewalls—and familiarity with their configuration interfaces.
  • Understanding of subnetting, VLANs, and IP addressing schemes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non‑technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in incident investigation, root‑cause analysis, and documentation following ITIL incident, problem, change, and request processes.
  • Self‑motivated attitude with the ability to work independently in a remote setting while adhering to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration, and a customer‑first mindset.
  • Basic familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) for reporting and documentation.
  • Willingness to support on‑call rotations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience working in a large‑scale distribution‑center or warehouse environment, preferably within arenaflex’s logistics network.
  • Hands‑on experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios) and ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).
  • CCNA certification or progress toward obtaining it.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Exposure to scripting languages such as Python for automation of routine tasks.
  • Knowledge of Cisco hardware design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex network problems, identify patterns, and propose effective solutions.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Empathy, patience, and professionalism when interacting with internal stakeholders.
  • Time Management: Prioritizing multiple tickets, meeting SLA targets, and balancing proactive tasks with reactive incident work.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with cross‑functional teams—including security, infrastructure, and application support—to deliver seamless service.
  • Continuous Learning: Staying up‑to‑date with evolving networking technologies, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Documentation Discipline: Maintaining accurate, detailed records that enable knowledge transfer and audit compliance.

arenaflex invests heavily in the professional development of its employees. As a Network Support Analyst, you will have access to:

  • Mentorship from senior network engineers and architects.
  • Paid certifications (e.g., CCNA, ITIL) and tuition reimbursement for relevant coursework.
  • Internal training portals covering topics such as cloud networking, security fundamentals, and automation scripting.
  • Opportunities to transition into specialized roles such as Network Engineer, Security Analyst, or IT Service Manager.
  • Participation in cross‑regional projects that broaden exposure to global network operations.
