Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically sharp Corporate Accountant and Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Department at arenaflex. This is a cross-functional, high-visibility role within the Accounting and Finance group that partners with leaders across sales, operations, supply chain, and executive management.

Reporting directly to the Director of FP&A, you will be responsible for producing annual budgets, long-range strategic plans, rolling forecasts, and monthly financial reviews. You will support accounting and financial reporting cycles, conduct deep-dive analyses, and deliver actionable insights that shape business decisions at arenaflex.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing the precision of corporate accounting with the strategic thinking of financial analysis — and who wants to make a measurable impact on a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Provide comprehensive accounting support and financial analysis for global business operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
  • Plan, lead, and facilitate monthly financial review meetings with key stakeholders to discuss results, variances, and forward-looking forecasts for managed areas.
  • Generate detailed financial and operational reports, translating complex datasets into clear narratives for decision makers.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to address specific business questions and support strategic initiatives across arenaflex.

Forecasting, Budgeting, and Planning

  • Lead and contribute to the development of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long-range strategic plans.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analyses related to Sales performance and in-field Trade Spend, providing leadership with timely insights on trends and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain financial models that support scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and long-term business strategy at arenaflex.

Accounting Support and Month-End Close

  • Play an active role in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing and reporting processes.
  • Reconcile month-end accounts for assigned areas of responsibility, investigating discrepancies and ensuring proper resolution.
  • Create accurate journal entries within the company ERP system and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.

Strategic Partnership and Insights

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and proactively communicate findings to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A peers, accounting teams, and business unit leaders to align financial outcomes with strategic priorities.
  • Participate in or lead special projects, business initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts on an as-needed basis.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 2 or more years of professional experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability and confidence in presenting financial information to all levels of management, including senior leadership.
  • Hands-on experience creating journal entries in an ERP system and reconciling financial accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of financial work.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, modeling) and PowerPoint (executive-level presentations).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in manufacturing, consumer products, or a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Familiarity with FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Skills and Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Excellence — The ability to break down complex financial data, identify trends, and deliver clear, actionable insights.
  • Communication — Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present to executive audiences.
  • Collaboration — A team-oriented mindset with the ability to build relationships across finance, accounting, and operational teams.
  • Initiative — A self-starter who proactively identifies opportunities, solves problems, and drives continuous improvement.
  • Integrity — A commitment to accuracy, ethical financial practices, and maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.
  • Adaptability — Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift and new challenges arise regularly.
