[Remote] Engineering Business Analyst

They are seeking a highly motivated Engineering Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and IT, focusing on optimizing their application ecosystem and supporting the Engineering and GIS teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary IT liaison for Engineering and GIS application domains
  • Elicit, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements for engineering systems
  • Support governance and optimization of a portfolio of engineering and GIS applications
  • Analyze and map engineering workflows and collaborate with IT on implementation strategies
  • Support integrations between engineering systems, GIS platforms, and enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, project systems)
  • Manage and optimize software licensing, including Autodesk Flex token agreements
  • Provide training and ongoing support to end users
  • Assist in testing, validation, and deployment of system updates and new capabilities
  • Document system processes, changes, and best practices
  • Work with vendors and internal teams to maintain system performance and compliance

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, GIS, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting technical or engineering teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard documentation tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively
  • Experience with engineering and GIS software ecosystems (Autodesk, Bentley, ESRI, or similar)
  • Understanding of application portfolio management and IT governance practices
  • Knowledge of APIs, system integrations, and data flows
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
