[Remote] Director, GCO Technology Data & Analytics
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Amgen is a leading biotechnology company focused on serving patients with serious illnesses. They are seeking a Director for their Commercial Technology Data & Analytics team, responsible for driving innovation in data and analytics solutions that support business objectives and enhance the commercial data ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Foster a culture of innovation, identify and implement data and analytics solutions that drive value to our stakeholders
- Co-ordinate end-to-end service delivery from the acquisition and cataloguing of data to the ingestion, quality control, and readiness of that data for consumption into analytics published by Global Commercial Capabilities & Innovation (GCCI)
- Create roadmaps with Technology, AI&D, and Commercial leaders to implement and maintain next generation of data and analytics platforms and technologies
- Plans closely with Technology and AI&D leadership across the Enterprise to drive development of new capabilities and/or continuous improvement anywhere commercial data is required (i.e. product launches, field execution, etc)
- Develops cross-functional governance plans to ensure executive alignment of technology prioritization for GCCI. This includes active relationship-building and engagement with leadership at VP and ED level and down
- Conducts joint-planning with Technology and business owners to mature and evolve the operating model using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Manages execution of initiatives with CEO staff level visibility such as AI Data Scaffolding, Performance Analytics, and reporting platform buildout within the Neural Nexus initiative
- Conducts interdependency analysis across multiple product teams in the solution train to ensure coordinated value delivery
- Manages a team of Product Owners that drive prioritization and delivery execution across the portfolio
- Drive the design, development, deployment, and sustainment of scalable data and analytics platforms and reusable accelerators that enable and increase the value of application and product teams
Skills
- Doctorate degree and 4 years of Life Science/Biotechnology/Pharmacology/Information Systems experience
- Or
- Master's degree and 7 years of Life Science/Biotechnology/Pharmacology/Information Systems experience
- Or
- Bachelor's degree and 9 years of Life Science/Biotechnology/Pharmacology/Information Systems experience
- Experience leading data and analytics product teams on enterprise platforms such as Databricks
- Experience with insights generation with commercial data sets across all Therapeutic Areas for US brands
- Experience working in an environment requiring strong security controls and de-identification of data
- Experience leading teams in an agile operating model
- Providing oversight for teams that design and deploy technology capabilities that integrate commercial data across the enterprise
- Experience in developing and implementing technology roadmaps and strategies, including data strategies, technology development and rationalization, and end user experience
- Experience managing full DevOps according to structured ITIL / Service Ownership standards
- SAFe for Teams certification (preferred)
