[Remote] International Finance Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Instacart is transforming the grocery industry and is seeking a Manager to join their Strategic Finance team to support international expansion. This role involves financial forecasting, business planning, and performance management for new markets, partnering with cross-functional leaders to evaluate opportunities and drive growth strategy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key finance partner for Instacart’s International expansion, owning end‑to‑end financial forecasting, business planning, and performance management for new and emerging markets
• Partner closely with cross‑functional leaders (e.g., Business Development, Corporate Development, Operations, Strategy, Legal, Policy) to evaluate market entry opportunities, assess investment trade‑offs, and provide clear recommendations that shape Instacart’s global growth strategy
• Build and refine complex financial models to support scenario planning in a highly ambiguous environment, enabling the executive team to make fast, data‑driven decisions
• Develop actionable insights by analyzing market dynamics, unit economics, and operational performance across countries; highlight risks, surface opportunities, and drive accountability with senior stakeholders
• Own the monthly and quarterly actuals vs. forecast (AvF) process for International, including variance analysis, commentary, and presentation of results to senior leadership; translate financial performance into clear business narratives that connect drivers to outcomes and inform future forecast adjustments
• Thrive in a fast‑paced and constantly evolving environment, establishing structure where needed while adapting processes, forecasts, and recommendations as the International landscape rapidly changes

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in Strategic/Corporate Finance, FP&A, or another analytical field, supporting high-growth public technology companies
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data‑driven decision support
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent project management and organizational skills
• Clear, polished communication skills with experience preparing and presenting executive-ready materials to VP/C-suite stakeholders
• Ability to build trusted partnerships with cross‑functional stakeholders at all levels
• Self‑starter mindset with the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and navigate ambiguity with confidence
• Experience in FP&A, Corporate or Strategic Finance, investment banking, investing, consulting, equity research, or data science/analytics
• Prior experience working in consumer marketplace or SaaS businesses
• Experience operating in a public company environment
• Interest in leveraging AI and automation tools to improve workflows, efficiency, and insights
• Proficiency in SQL or other analytical query languages
