[Remote] Legal Assistant, Litigation (Part Time)

They are seeking a part-time Legal Assistant to join the Litigation Team, responsible for managing subpoenas and supporting in-house attorneys with litigation matters.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage third-party subpoenas and requests for records from state/government agencies, and other requestors to securely provide sensitive data and responsive documents, in accordance with applicable state laws and company policies
- Provide comprehensive support to in-house attorneys in managing cases related to No Surprise Bill Act (NSA) and SIU investigations along with other administrative proceedings
- Facilitate the discovery process by issuing legal holds, coordinating document and data collections, track key deadlines, deliverables, and action items ensuring timely compliance
- Lead or contribute to special legal projects and initiatives as assigned
- Assist with intake process of litigation matters and other administrative functions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to gather facts, documents, and other case-related materials to support legal strategy
Skills
- 2+ years of legal experience
- 2+ years of research experience
- Demonstrate analytical ability, good communication skills and judgment along with great organizational skills in managing litigation matters
- Knowledge of Health Care benefits
- Knowledge of state and federal court systems
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred
