[Remote] Customer Service Representative

Encore Pest Control is a premium pest control company based in Birmingham, Alabama, and they are seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative. This role involves serving as the first point of contact for customers, managing accounts, and coordinating with field technicians, with a clear path toward an Office Manager role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Serving as the first point of contact for customers — answering inbound calls, scheduling service appointments, and following up on inquiries with professionalism and care
- Managing and updating customer accounts, service records, and scheduling in our system
- Supporting accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, payment tracking, and follow-up on outstanding balances
- Coordinating with field technicians to ensure smooth daily scheduling and route management
- Handling general office administrative tasks and correspondence
Skills
- Strong communication skills — friendly, clear, and composed under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with scheduling or CRM software is a plus
- Highly organized with good attention to detail
- A self-starter mentality with an interest in taking on more responsibility over time
- Some accounts receivable or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Any prior pest control industry experience is a plus — whether in the field or in an office setting
- Familiarity with FieldRoutes is a bonus, but not required
