[Remote] Contract Recruiter

Clayton Services is searching for a Contract Recruiter to join a rapidly growing organization supporting high-volume hiring efforts across the Houston area and surrounding regions. The Contract Recruiter will be responsible for building and managing a consistent pipeline of candidates for specialized rescue technician roles, focusing on sourcing from EMS, fire academy, and related talent pools.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for high-volume hiring needs (20–25+ roles initially, with ongoing hiring demand)
- Proactively source candidates from targeted pipelines, including Emergency Medical Services, fire departments, fire academies, and related organizations
- Conduct outreach to EMS agencies, training programs, and industry networks to generate candidate flow
- Utilize job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and direct sourcing strategies to build a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates
- Conduct phone screens to evaluate candidate qualifications, availability, and interest in project-based work environments
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and assist in driving candidates through the hiring process
- Support onboarding efforts by following up with candidates to ensure completion of required documentation and hiring steps
- Track recruiting activity, candidate pipeline, and performance metrics within the ATS and client systems
- Partner closely with internal leadership to adjust recruiting strategy based on hiring needs and market feedback
- Deliver consistent candidate flow, measured by submittals, interviews, and hires
Skills
- Proven success in high-volume recruiting environments
- Strong sourcing and outreach capabilities (not reliant on inbound applicants)
- Ability to identify and engage candidates in niche or non-traditional talent pools
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accountability
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet aggressive hiring timelines
- Experience managing recruiting metrics and pipeline performance
- 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in high-volume, field-based, or light industrial roles
- Experience sourcing candidates from EMS, fire service, or technical training programs is strongly preferred
- Background recruiting for project-based or hourly workforce environments is a plus
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
